I will charge a reduced rate for three or more hours of tutoring PER WEEK. I have extensive tutoring experience with all age groups. I do everything from volunteer to read to small children in clinic waiting rooms to tutoring groups of adults in GED classes. I have gained access to and become well versed in the use of many different tutoring techniques, tools, and resources. My tutoring resume consists of: - Substitute preschool teacher - Tutoring classes of adults in GED level material - Individual tutor at the UOP Center for Community Involvement. - Individual tutor with Alternatives Unlimited tutoring agency. - Tutoring adults in the San Joaquin Adult Literacy Program. -Interactive reading with groups of small children in a low income clinic. - Group tutoring for the San Joaquin Office of Migrant Education. -Group tutoring of other college students. All in all; I've tutored adults, elementary, Middle School, GED students, ESL students, special needs students, and toddlers. My areas of expertise are mathmatics and language arts. My approach is based on a philosophy that a student must revisit the academic level prior to the one they are struggling with and fortify their skills at a lower level before going back and trying to master more difficult material.
